Implementation of the Fifth Revised 2025 Rinjani Climbing SOP

In connection with the implementation of the Fifth Revised 2025 Rinjani Climbing SOP by the Mount Rinjani National Park Office, we remind all TO partners to ensure that all climbers participating in your trek comply with the following provisions:
Important Changes:
1. A health certificate must be valid no later than one day before the climb.
2. A Statement Letter and other insurance information must be completed.
3. Climbers must have experience (photo/certificate/interview).
4. Climbers under 17 must be accompanied and have parental permission.
5. Beginner climbers must be accompanied by an experienced guide.
6. A safety briefing must be attended before departure.
7. A guide to 5 climbers ratio.
8. A porter to 2 foreign climbers to 3 local climbers ratio.
9. The Tour Operator (TO) is required to ensure that climbing equipment standards are met.
10. Active speakers and musical instruments are prohibited.
11. Rescheduling must be reported and include the reason for the schedule change and supporting evidence.

⚠️ Important:
If any participant does not meet the above requirements, the officer reserves the right to refuse to continue the climb. The forum will also not tolerate violations of this SOP.
This step is not intended to complicate matters, but to ensure the safety, comfort, and sustainability of Rinjani. Let’s work together to be responsible Tour Operators (TOs) and ensure all climbers become Smart Climbers.
